Dear Indianapolis Business Leader,

The Sertoma Club of East Indianapolis is extremely grateful to the Indianapolis community for making the 2007 and 2008 Support Our Troops FUNdraisers a huge success.  With the help of sponsors such as All American Picnic Company, Becker Landscaping, GasAmerica Charitable Foundation, Katz & Korin, MacAllister Machinery Co. and Wick’s Pies, along with many other groups and individuals, these events raised over $45,000.  The proceeds benefited two local seriously-wounded soldiers, Army Sergeant First Class Jeffrey Mittman, Marine Lance Corporal Josh Bleill and members of the Indiana National Guard and their families.  The amount of community and corporate support that was received at the first year’s event was so enormous and heart-felt that it inspired our club to continue coordinating this event each year.  Please consider joining in this community effort to help our local military.
Sertoma Clubs throughout Indianapolis will host the 3rd annual SUPPORT OUR TROOPS FUNdraiser on Saturday, August 28, 2010 from 5:00 –10:00 p.m at Camp Sertoma, Northwest corner of German Church and Brookville Road.  We will again be offering great food, live music, a silent auction and fun activities for all ages.  The funds we raise will benefit the Indiana National Guard Relief Fund.  Over 3,500 Air and Army National Guard have been deployed from Indiana.  The need to help their families as they fight for our freedom is great . . . due to all of the recent mobilizations in the military, including the Global War on Terror and Disaster Relief, it is becoming increasingly difficult for military families to meet the challenges that come with these extended periods of separation.  The Indiana National Guard Relief Fund provides financial grants to Indiana service members and their families encountering difficult situations due to service members being mobilized.
There are FIVE ways YOU can help . . . become a corporate sponsor, donate “in-kind” (food, decor &/or entertainment) for the event, donate a gift (of product &/or services) to our silent auction, help publicize the event and, lastly, come out & join the fun!   Corporate sponsors will receive recognition on our event banner, publication and signage.  Donors of in-kind contributions and silent auction items will also be recognized.  And, of course, your gift is a write off for charity. We hope to see you there and thank you in advance for helping us to give back to those who have given so much.  Your support is greatly needed and appreciated.  Thank you for your consideration of this request.
