The Indiana National Guard Relief Fund is a private, non-profit, tax exempt corporation which gets NO government funding.
Created in 2003, the Indiana National Guard Relief Fund lends a “helping hand”
to service members and their families
who have had an adverse financial impact because of military deployment.
“Our mission is accomplished by giving funds to service members and their families for limited financial relief in times of need.”

Without this group, I would have lost my house and vehicle, also my utilities would have been shut off. “In December of 2004, I was sent to an early Annual Training in preparation of an eighteen month training and deployment of Operation Iraqi Freedom. We had planned on repairing the roof on our enclosed back patio that spring because of normal age & wear. Because of the deployment this was not possible . . . The Indiana National Guard Relief Fund . . . gave us a grant to replace the roof and also for medical bills that were not covered under insurance. This has been very important to our family . . .”

Since 2003, over $941,684 has been awarded to service members & their families. ALL applicants are carefully screened to determine the validity of their needs and how they can best be helped.
Military families face many difficult challenges (besides financial) that come with extended periods of separation . . .
The Indiana National Guard Relief Fund also funds programs which provide emergency travel assistance for immediate family of wounded service members AND provide calling cards to deployed troops.

service members to re-connect with their
children upon return from deployment by
providing the funds for a fun-filled daytrip!
At the beginning of 2008, over 3,500
Army and Air National Guard members
deployed in support of their country.
This is the largest number of Indiana Guard members to deploy since World War II.
The number of requests for assistance continues to rise each year. (This year
we received more than 200 requests.)
